California Cancer Coalition
CalCancer
Overview
Funded by the CDC, the California Cancer Coalition needed a central platform to connect the statewide network of organizations working across cancer advocacy, prevention, early detection, treatment support, and survivorship. AR+D designed and built the full digital infrastructure.
The Challenge
California's cancer advocacy ecosystem lacked a unified hub. Organizations working in prevention, advocacy, survivorship, and treatment operated in silos with no shared resource infrastructure or community connection platform.
Our Approach
We designed a searchable resource library, community event platform, and member submission system. The architecture was built for community contribution — enabling grassroots organizations to add resources and events without technical barriers.
Results
- Resource hub with searchable library across advocacy, prevention, survivorship, and treatment
- Community event platform connecting cancer awareness activities statewide
- Document library and resource-sharing system for coalition members
- Community submission tools enabling grassroots resource contribution
